Individual Differences Research (ISSN: 1541-745X) is a peer-reviewed, scholarly journal published quarterly, one volume per year with issues in March, June, September, and December.

Individual Differences Research publishes original manuscripts on all topics relevant to the science and application of the psychology of the individual. Most studies submitted to Individual Differences Research use quantitative methodology. However, exceptional qualitative and theoretical manuscripts are also considered for publication. Papers on all topics of psychology which promote the understanding of individuals’ behavior, personality (normal & abnormal), affect, development, interests & values, social behavior, cognition & intelligence, attention, motivation, learning & change, stress & health, perception, and physiology… among others, will be considered.

Both full-length and brief reports are considered. Regardless of the methodology and length of manuscripts, each report should adequately convey its intent, predicted outcomes, provide enough information about the methodology to allow replication, include results of data analyses, and discuss the results in the context of the existing literature and/or theories.

Individual Differences Research is receptive to all meritorious psychological research. Thus, we are interested in publishing papers on both traditional topics in psychology and controversial or new lines of psychological research which might find less acceptance in other journals. Individual Differences Research strives to maintain an attitude of openness and fairness towards all authors regardless of their status or affiliation.
